A Sweet Visit - Ft. Taffee and Deuce

Taffee growled angrily as she flopped onto the bed. "It's not fucking fair. Why do they get to be treated fairly while we're being pushed around and thrown dirt at? Those bitches. They think they're so special? Bullshit."

Ruggie overheard Taffee's self-ranting from outside her door. He didn't know how to help. So he got his phone and dialed Taffee's friend, and his clubmate: Ella Rossi. Surely she'd know what to do, right?

He went to the lounge, waiting.

It took a few seconds before she actually picked up the call. "Ruggie? Do you need something?" She asked from the other line. The hyena put one hand on his hip, while his other hand put his phone close to his ear.

"You there? Can you hear me?"
"Yep, I can hear you. What's up?"
"Taffee's...having a bad day. I've got errands to run and I don't usually ask for help. But. What do I do?"

Ruggie's ears drooped and sighed.

She went quiet for a bit. "Well...I can't exactly go there to help either, as I'm doing some extra credit work for Crewel-sensei. But, I can send someone over to talk to Taffee."

"Nishishishi, who do you have in mind?"

It's almost like you can hear the smug grin on her face by what she said next.

"Oh, you'll find out. And let him through. Now, I'll go call him. See ya later Ruggie."
"Yeah yeah. See ya." He hung up the phone.

--------------

Deuce held the paperbag and boxes in his hands. Apparently, right after that call with Ruggie, Ella dialed up Deuce and told him the situation. Because its known that Deuce likes Taffee, he agreed.

He and Ella sprinted towards the Hall of Mirrors, stopping at the mirror leading to Savanaclaw. "Are you sure about this?" Ella patted Deuce's back reassuringly. "Of course. After all, I think Taffee would be glad to see you. Oh and," she pointed to the second box. "The one that has the letter "R.B" written on it is for Ruggie, got it?"

Deuce nodded. "I better be going then. I'll tell you how it goes." Ella smiled. "Sure. Now, don't keep her waiting." He took a deep breath and stepped through the mirror.

--------------

So things were not going as smoothly at first. Deuce was getting surrounded by some Savanaclaw students, challenging him to fight as usual. Until Ruggie stepped in. "Let him pass." The students protested, before Ruggie repeated it again in a much more serious tone. "I said. Let. Him. Pass. Is that clear?"

They had no other choice but to walk away. The Heartslabyul student sighed on relief when he that they were retreating. Ruggie approached him, hands behind his head. "Deuce, right?"

"Mhm. Did...Ella tell you I was coming to see Taffee?" Ah. So she was referring to Deuce during that call. "Hmmm, I guess so. Anyways, I'll lead you to Taffee."

He reajusted his grip on items he was holding. "Alright."

--------------

Before knocking on the door, Deuce paused and called Ruggie's attention. "Oh! Also, Ruggie. Ella told me to give this to you." The hyena tilted his head in confusion and interest while Deuce slid the bottom box towards Ruggie so he can grab it.

Holding the box, he opened the lid and pushed it upwards, revealing a set of donuts. His tail may or may not be wagging. He closed the lid with his usual snicker. "Nishishi, good luck."

Ruggie walked away with the donuts, while Deuce stood there. "It's now or never." He got one hand and knocked firmly on the door. When no one was answering, he knocked again and called out. "Hello? Taffee? It's me, Deuce. Can you let me in? I can't open the door."

Upon hearing his voice, Taffee scrambled up and turned the doorknob to let him in. She was greeted by a soft smile on Deuce's face, her heart fluttered around.

"O-Oh, come in." Taffee stood to the side as he stepped in the room, sitting on the edge of the bed and setting the paper bag ang box on the desk. She closed the door and sat beside Deuce.

There was a few moments of awkward silence. He turned to the tiger. "Hey, Taffee. Is there something you want to talk about? I'm here if you want to rant or anything."

'He's so sweet holy shit-' Taffee thought.

She cleard her throat before turning her body to face Deuce. She fiddled with her shirt hem, before exploding in frustration. "Why is it so unfair? Why are they looking down on me? On us?! Why? I don't fucking get it."

Deuce was taken aback from the outburst, but listened to Taffee vent and rant out her frustrations. She slammed her fists against the mattress, huffing in anger. Her ears drooped downwards, and she had her arms crossed.

Deuce would never say it out loud, but Taffee looked cute like that. Now's not the time to think about it. He had to comfort her. He nervously put his hands on her shoulders, sighing. "I can't really say that I understand fully, since I might make things worse. Although, I see your point. It's stupid. If they look down you like that, then they don't deserve to have that title."

Taffee glanced up to meet his eyes. He was being careful with his words to not piss her off than she already is. "It's not fair. The audacity that they forgot about you is plain terrible. It's clear that they have no respect. I don't know what to say, but I guess what I'd do is...prove them wrong."

"Prove them wrong, and show them that you do in fact, deserve to be treated with respect. And if they don't?" Deuce chuckled to himself while doing that motion with his hands, signalling that he'll do something about it. "I don't mind if I get in trouble with Riddle."

Taffee's heart beated faster. "It's okay, Deuce." Another moment of silence passed. He didn't want it to be awkward, so he got up and grabbed the paperbag and box. He handed it to Taffee, who was surprised by the items in front of her.

"What's this?" She asked as she got a container out of the bag. "Ah. It's your comfort food. I asked someone to help me make it for you. Well, they had to teach me a few basics. It might not be the best, but I tried."

Taffee popped open to see a portion of the container had chocolate wafers in it. Another portion contained chocolate cookies. Taffee's eyes were wide, frantically getting the other container. The other one had brownies and crinkle cookies.

And on the bottom part of the bag, there was a small note. She reached her hand in, and got it out.

'Hope you feel better by these. Sorry I couldn't be there.
-El.'

"Was it...you and Ella? Who made these?" Deuce chuckled softly as he ruffled her hair. "Yep. Truth to be told, Ella called me and said that you were angry. I accepted it because. I was worried. Though she was the one who offered, and that I accepted it, I was the one who asked her to help me make these. I asked her what your comfort food was, since I know she's your friend."

Taffee was that close to crying tears of joy. Actually, scratch that. She started crying anyway when Deuce opened the box which revealed chocolate donuts.

He panicked when he saw the tears. "T-Taffee?! Are you okay? Do you need a hug?" Taffee nodded yes. Deuce slowly wrapped his arms around the tiger, and she happliy did the same. She buried her face on his shoulder as Deuce hummed. He paused when he heard a muffled "thank you."

He patted her back and separated from the hug, grabbing two pairs of a spoon and fork. Deuce gave a pair to Taffee and they began eating.

While doing so, they chatted about random things such as how boring Prof. Trein's lessons were, the bullshit going on after class, etc.

At some point, Deuce got chocolate icing from the donut on the side of his mouth, and Taffee wiped it using a tissue paper. Poor Deuce's face glowed red with embarassment. "T-Taffee!"

"Yes?"
"You c-can't just do that out of nowhere!"

Taffee grinned and hugged Deuce again. "Seriously though. Thank you Deuce."
He hugged back. "It was no problem, really. I'm always here for you."

"Tell Ella thank you too, for the food."
"I'll make sure to tell her that. But anyway. I'm glad you're feeling okay."

--------------

Deuce had to go because Ace said that he needed his help with something, though he promised Taffee he'd hang out with her again.

After an hour, Taffee recieved a message. She opened it to see her friend's text.

Distracted
Taffee x Deuce

A pile of books surrounded the table, as some were also on the floor. Taffee stretched and yawned quietly as to not disturb Deuce. As much as they wanted to spend time with each other, their homework didn't agree with that plan. Paper scattered around the floor of Deuce's bedroom. His eyes trained on the paper in front at him.

Taffee sluggishly picked up her pen, continuing her own task to do. "Does this pile ever end?" He complained and face-planted onto the desk as his arms fell to his sides. "I guess not. We still...have a few more to go then we're done." Taffee replied. However, her mind blanked out for a second to think of an appropriate answer for the current question.

Her tail curled up in frustration. Taffee scanned it once more and flipped the page, hoping to find the answer. She clamped a hand over her mouth to stifle the incoming yawn. Compared to Deuce, he was still holding up. "Eh... This is equal to... agh, no wait, that can't be right..." He muttered. Her eyes shot a glance to her right. Taffee's wrist paused its movement. To make it not that obvious, she occasionally snuck glances at Deuce.

"EeeEhh, why does math have to be so hard??" He whined. Her ears perked up at his voice. "It's a pain." Deuce exhaled. "Fuck math." He grumbled in a low, yet adorable tone. Without any warning, Taffee snuck a quick peck on his cheek before continuing her own work. His face flushed a light pink, stammering before returning to his book as well.

-------------------------------------------------

An hour or so has passed, yet they still weren't done. It wasn't that they had so many, it was because the questions were difficult to answer is what slowed them down. Each time they finished one of their assignments, they immediately do the next ones. If they want to relax, then they (unfortunately) need to finish everything before calling it a day.

He started picking up the glances Taffee shot him secretly. Hell, he even noticed that at one point she was staring at him for quite a bit. He turned his head in time, but what he didn't expect her face to be kinda close to his. So when he did turn his attention to the tiger next to him, both of their lips met in a small kiss.
He moved his head away out of embarassment yet seeing her face like that, he couldn't help but giving another one.

It took Taffee five seconds to register it. Her own cheeks warmed in a few seconds before slowly and silently returning to her book. She'd be lying if she said she didn't scream internally. As if Deuce heard the internal screams, he chuckled a little before ruffling her hair. "If you want more kisses, then let's finish the last ones. Don't worry, Love, you'll have it as soon as we're done."

Unexpectedly, he could hear Ace yell from outside his door. "Awww, who knew Deuce was such a romantic!~" He growled and yelled back, "Shut up Ace!"
He could hear muffled cackling from the other side. "We are studying, Trappola." Both sides went silent at the way he addressed Ace. A few minutes after, he could hear snickers as well as the sound of footsteps fading. Ace decided to be a little shit so before he completely left, he yelled back teasingly, "Okay okay Have fun"

Deuce sighed. "Sorry about that, Love. Let's get back to out homework." Taffee nodded silently. But instead, she stared into his eyes. It was a beautiful shade of green. Like how it was a few seconds ago, silence enveloped the room. Taffee peeled her gaze away from Deuce's, shaking her head. "Yeah, let's finish it."

Intead of smoothly flowing through, they gave each other affection in between of their studies.
He couldn't help but stop and give Taffee headpats. To see her smile like that, it made his heart weak. At one point, he cupped her face in his hands and gave her a bright smile and a soft glint in his eyes that made Taffee's heart skip a beat. Time didn't exist when they were affectionate with each other. They loved each second of it. The homework they were supposed to be doing lay discarded on the desk.

He sighed and shrugged. "I'm sorry Love, but I think we're getting a bit distracted." Taffee pouted and huffed. "Fiiine. You owe me more later."
He just couldn't help it. He gave her headpats, to another kiss on the lips before finally resuming their task. But Taffee craved more of it, sadly she had to wait until her homework set her free.

Another hour has passed and they were almost finished. From that time period, Taffee progressively became tired. All she wanted was to lay in bed and cuddling with Deuce, why was time being rude? Was that too much to ask?
Yet with the remaining questions left blank on the page, she could endure it a little longer.

Well, they were almost done anyway. Three on Taffee's list, and four for Deuce.
Things were going smoothly as the questions seemed to level down to easy mode. Yet Taffee took at least five minutes to rest before going back to answering. At the corner of his eye, he can notice Taffee's trying to keep it together. Her yawns were more audible, her writing became a little sloppy, and she was slow to react when Deuce is calling her name.

It wasn't until that Taffee's head fell and landed on Deuce's shoulder that he decided to call for a break. With a midly aching hand, he turned to Taffee and put his pen down. "I think it's time for a break. We can continue the rest of it later." Once again, she didn't react right away. Deuce sighed and shook her lightly. "Taffee? Hello?" No response. There was a few minutes of silence.

Until a yawn (that sounded like a sleepy meow) came from her. He glanced down as she lifted her head. "Eh?" He didn't dare move away since her head was still laying on his shoulder. "We can stop for now. We'll continue tomorrow."
He stated. Deuce got caught off-guard when Taffee jolted up in her own seat.
"Let me finish the last few ones."

He shook his head in disapproval. "We've done enough for today. We can finish the last one tomorrow." Taffee opened her mouth to protest, yet before she did Deuce slammed his lips against hers. She let out a sleepy yet surprised squeak before melting into it. He pulled away a few minutes later, as both their faces were as red as Riddle's hair.

Her tailed wagged and giddiness sparked in her heart. "Okaay, I guess we can rest." She gave in, walking towards the bed and diving onto the mattress. Deuce fixed up the books and piled them neatly in a stack. He did the rest with organizing with other school supplies, and separating which books were his and which were Taffee's.

She laid on the bed, waiting for him to finish. Once he did, he switched off the lights and climbed into bed, sliding into the covers. Taffee positioned herself ontop of Deuce, and purring softly as he stroked her hair and ears. He slung one arm over to keep her from falling off. He loved the warmth that Taffee's body gave him, and he wants it to stay like that.

She snuggled closer to his chest as her breath steadied and slowed. "I love you Deuceeee...." She mumbled as her eyes closed. Deuce placed a kiss on her forehead before replying, "I love you too Taffee. And I'll forever love you..."
He muttered before dozing off as well with her in his arms.

He didn't know that Taffee was the warmth he needed in his life, and now that he has her, their love could only grow increasingly.

Deuce loves Taffee, and Taffee loves him too. Sleepy cuddles served best with soft kisses. And that's exactly what Taffee had wanted.
